December 17 - Our 2019 Product Catalogue, Announcements On Shipping Dates & More Inside!

Dear cultists,
The holidays are quickly approaching, and some of you have been very naughty. And by naughty, we mean you haven't completed your surveys! Only a handful of you left - be sure to get the survey submitted before Christmas hits, or else you may miss out on receiving a copy of Main Gauche and any other products you wanted next year.
We curate all of our content at DriveThruRPG, and you can access your special codes for download within. Note that Main Gauche Early Access is the current version of the game available, but the illustrated PDF version will follow in early January 2019.
Speaking of shipping dates, we're pushing this out to February 2019, as we continue to refactor layout. We've learned a lot of lessons along the way, and had planned to use the same layout as before with Zweihänder. However, we saw a few gaps, and want to create the best edition of the game we can with better layout, another round of proofreading and several other layout optimizations. Unfortunately, this will delay shipment, however it will enable us to send a 99% error-free version (read: catching all misspellings and fixes from errata from our Discord community) out for shipment. Speaking of new layout standards...
All-New Trade Dress!
A couple of things we are doing for our second print edition of Zweihänder (which also includes Main Gauche):
Bumping up font sizes
Fixing layout errors (overlapping text)
Errata and spelling error fixes
Moving from 4 to 2 fonts
Using new call-out boxes/sidebars
Using illustrated drop caps
Duo-tone for tables, underlined headers and quad diamond bullets (sepia tones)
300dpi imagery throughout the work
Cleaning up pencil smudges in illustrations
Reordering of entries across chapters
New appendix and index
Estimated removal 40 pages due to layout optimizations with zero content cut!
Here is a peek at some of the visual changes we’re playing with. This is a case where we moved from paragraph breaks to indentation, and removed single column layout. It also includes our draft drop caps:
We have also removed the borders around Professions, which allows us to bump up the image size to show off more of the illustration at a true quarter page size.

2019 Product Catalogue + New Publisher

Our path to getting Main Gauche ready for shipping also includes a second print edition of Zweihande Grim & Perilous RPG. Both books have been picked up by a major publisher for distribution in 2019! This means you’ll see it in Target, Barnes & Noble, Amazon and GTS distribution for CA/NA brick and mortar shops. We'll also have international distribution to the UK. We’re also getting a Polish, Spanish and French translation in the latter part of 2019.
This deal took four long months of negotiations, and was sealed with ink and champagne a month ago. The new pub has a very large footprint in the US, but no RPGs in their catalogue. We will be piloting this brand with them, called “Powered by Zweihander”. Formal announcement, along with the publisher name, (who I promise you'll recognize) coming soon once the press release goes live in January 2019.

December 3 - Some Surveys Still Incomplete!

Dear cultists,
There are several Kickstarter backers who have not yet filled out their surveys or paid shipping. This task must be completed before December 31st, else there is no guarantee we will be able to account for your book order when we place it with the printer.
Preorders for the print editions of both MAIN GAUCHE & ZWEIHÄNDER Grim & Perilous RPG officially end on December 16, and won’t return until mid-2019 with our new publisher.
We will have a formal announcement about our new publisher before the turn of year, but you can follow Daniel D. Fox over on Twitter to get more up-to-date information (including a peek at new artwork from the book and cards)
What About POD Versions?
Finally, we will be taking down the POD version of ZWEIHÄNDER from DriveThruRPG. by December 31st. Other POD products (cards, Dark Astral, Character Folios, GM Screens, etc.) will remain active on DriveThruRPG, until we transfer rights over to our new publisher in early 2019.
